Update 05/25: Due to Thunderstorms on Saturday, we are meeting on Sunday instead. There is less of a chance for thunderstorms and the swell seems better. See you all there!
Hey all east coast mat surfers!!!
Date: May 27 meet at 7am-ish, I will try to be there earlier. We'll be there all day if there is surf.
Location: Beach 67. Far Rockaway. We'll set up on the beach with a marker south of 67th, probably a flag with a mat/ape on it. Email us at aquaticapes at gmail.com to RSVP or for any questions or ideas.
Try to bring extra gear (mats, fins, wetsuit?) for non matters to show them what it's all about. I have an extra mat with a redback mat to giveaway.
The UK matsurfers and the west coast gang are also meeting this weekend so it will be a world wide event. perhaps the first ever! Let's get a group quiver shot if we can! Any gopros are welcome. Footage will be combined with the other mat meets by our good friend Grayman from the UK.
