...would the opening scene have ghostly trees, set waves emerge from the mist, then perhaps two grim looking men appear, stalking someone or something mysterious? And vanish soon after, without explanation?
Most definitely. From a distance one could hear a murmur of possibly. Creeping ever closer to the shore only to be fooled. The fog too thing to make out and discernible detail. The two grim men fled elsewhere in search of their pray.
